3 months!!! And a dream!

Yesterday March 14th was the 3 month Anniversary of my Dad's passing!
When I laid down to take an afternoon nap yesterday... I finally had a dream of my father.
I dreamt that - my Mom, my Dad, and I were at their house in Pikes Peak, and my dad was sitting on the couch in the living room and he was talking to my mom. He was just talking and talking with her, and everytime I tried to say something to him he wouldn't talk to me... he wouldn't even look at me. I even began yelling at him to talk to me.... thinking maybe he didn't hear me (dad was sort of hard-of-hearing)! So anyway... finally my mom says to me in the dream... "Laurie, your dad is dead and he can't talk to you... he only talks to me!" I then woke up... and I cried uncontrolably for quite some time! But, I did realize something after I was awake... it was so totally amazing to see him again... to see him moving and talking! I'm so happy I dreamt of him on the 3 month Anniversary!

This is the first time I've dreamed of him since his passing!

Amanda and her husband Mark are expecting a baby boy!!!!!
Name is Maxwell McHale Bloxton.
Max is due to arrive - August 14, 2009

Toivu or Lempi???

Tomorrow March 12th, Amanda goes in for her Ultra-sound where they will be able to tell her boy or girl! YIPPEE!

I often tease my son in law about names for the baby... telling him that good boy names are Toivu or Eino... and girls names... Lempi or Olga! Olga by the way was my grandmother (my father's mother's name)! But... they aren't having none of those names!

Can't wait till tomorrow... then I can shop for more than "neutral" colors! hahaha!

Baby it's COLD outside!!!!

I am beginning to think that never again are we going to have warm weather!

It's been so cold here... brrrrrr This morning I woke up at 6:30am and it was 24 below zero! My poor little doggies... they did NOT want to go out there and do their thing! Poor babies would just lift up their paws and cry, then look at me with those sad sad eyes... wondering why I was making them freeze their paws! I should of invested in some Doggie Winter boots for their little paws!

Mark's Birthday!

Mark doesn't actually have a birthday this year, yes that's right... he is a 'leap year' baby! So, usually we celebrate his birthday on the 28th... we used to celebrate it on March 1st (that was his father's birthday) so we would have one birthday for the both of them.... Since Mark's father passed on we do the 28th!

This year I had to work both, Feb 28th and March 1st... So I haven't been able to do nothing for my Hubby's birthday. I'm so glad his sister Carolynn and her husband Steve came up for the week-end and spent time with Mark for his birthday! Tomorrow Mark and I are going to Ontonagon so, I think I'll take him out to dinner tomorrow for his birthday... his choice of where!
